Position of Hips Throughout the Phases of the Turn
The hips and pelvis will naturally assume an angled position the more the core and body move inside the turn.

The hips need to be leveled when returning to the Athletic Stance to be ready for the start of the next turn, as shown in the following picture.

How to Level your Hips
Lift your outside hip as you release pressure from your old outside ski. You will feel pressure on your new outside ski. This is a subtle movement and should not cause your body to rise or pop up.
